Presented by Perth Theatre Trust and The Strawboat Collective
At only nineteen years of age, Noah was the recipient of a heart transplant. Three years later, he decides to send a video to his donor’s family expressing his gratitude, causing him to reflect on his journey through despair and recovery.
Although Noah and his donor never meet, the interconnectedness that exists between them is ever present. An undefined, almost spiritual bond exists between them.
We meet a group of fun-loving university students living in a share house together through a series of vignettes that play out in stark contrast with Noah’s diminishing quality of life. As the story unfolds, the untimely death of one of the friends is revealed.
This sensitive, thought- provoking piece celebrates medical science and questions its limits. Are the parts of Noah’s character that have altered since his operation a result of his brush with death, or the new heart beating within him?
Warnings: Mild coarse language. Recommended for ages 15+
